More than 170 visitors, distinguished guests from the Czech Republic and abroad, and a shared joy in discovering the world.
That was the scene at the grand opening of the Culture Box exhibition, which took place on October 9, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at the Regional Museum and Gallery in Most. Our AMA SCHOOL is behind the creation of the project and the preparation of the exhibition.
Culture Box connects Montessori schools across continents through boxes filled with objects, stories, and traditions. Thanks to these boxes, children learn about other cultures while also introducing their own. This mutual exchange gave rise to an exhibition that now opens the door to exploring the world for the general public as well.
The opening ceremony took place outdoors in front of the museum building. The children from AMA SCHOOL prepared a performance that set the mood for visitors to explore different cultures and continents. Their preparations, enthusiasm, and courage to perform in front of such a large audience served as a wonderful introduction to the entire event.
The opening remarks were delivered by the director of AMA SCHOOL, Mgr. Dita Břečková, and the director of the Regional Museum and Gallery in Most, Mgr. Michal Vavroch. The BRASS COLLEGIUM ensemble added to the festive atmosphere. During the opening, other distinguished guests also spoke, and we greatly appreciate their participation and support.
It was an honor to welcome representatives from educational institutions, public life, and Montessori schools abroad. In addition to the opening speakers, the following accepted our invitation:
Ing. Markéta Stará, Deputy Mayor of Most;
Mgr. Hana Franzl and Mgr. Jana Kubičinová, MBA, representing the Department of Support for Schools and School Founders at the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports;
Mgr. Jaroslava Vavřičková, Ph.D., representing Jan Evangelista Purkyně University;
PhDr. Petra Šerlová, representing the National Pedagogical Institute of the Czech Republic;

Ramya Chandrashekhar, director of Kaban Montessori School in Canada;
Ing. Vlastimil Skála, regional councilor for culture and historic preservation;
Mgr. Andrea Jiříková and students from VOŠ, OA, SPgŠ, and SZŠ Most.
Catering was provided by Dany’s Café, a student-run business at AMA SCHOOL. Our students thus had the opportunity to apply their skills at a real social event, and their work significantly contributed to the pleasant atmosphere of the entire evening. We owe them a huge thank you for their dedication, attention to detail, and hospitality. We are proud of how many people and institutions we have managed to bring together through this project. We greatly appreciate everyone who helped with the preparations, supported the opening ceremony, and continues to support the exhibition.
