In May 2023, as part of the project “Help me discover the world”, we travelled with pupils of the third three-year cycle (grades 7–9) to NOVASCHOOL Medina Elvira near Granada. Ten children and four teachers flew out – three as chaperones and one to job-shadow a Spanish colleague. Dates: 21–31 May 2023.
We took a video to Spain that introduces the Czech Republic, Most and our school in a few minutes, and presented it in two classes. For the younger children we brought a video from their friends in the second three-year cycle, who wanted to find Spanish pen pals to write to in English. After we got back, we summed up what we did and how it went in a video for parents and the public – we screened it at the summer celebration and at the school's tenth anniversary celebration.
