About me

My name is Andrea Lindová and I work at AMA School as a Montessori Assistant. I was born in Most in 1992 and I am the mother of a son, Maxim Samuel.

As a child, I spent two years living and studying in England, which gave me a natural connection to the English language. English has remained part of my life ever since, and I continue to use it regularly when communicating with friends and people around me.

After returning to the Czech Republic, I studied at a secondary school in Jirkov, where I trained in the culinary field and gained valuable experience through competitions, workshops and various courses. Later, I ran my own business in Brno before returning to Most, where I worked in childcare and other service-based roles.

At AMA School, I first had the opportunity to discover the environment of our Toddler Community and to work closely with our youngest children. This experience gave me a deeper understanding of how much very young children are already capable of when they are given trust, time and an appropriately prepared environment. I am now looking forward to getting to know the next stage of Montessori education and working with a mixed-age group of children from three to six years old.

The preschool age group feels especially close to me. Outside AMA School, I am actively involved with the volunteer fire brigade SDH Most , "Mostecká káčata", where I also work with young children. Even preschoolers are already joining our little firefighters, full of enthusiasm and curiosity. I am constantly amazed by how much children can do at such a young age and by the joy, determination and energy with which they discover the world around them.

My interest in working with children has gradually become an increasingly important part of my professional journey. I am currently studying at the Centre of Education at UJEP University to gain my professional qualification as a teaching assistant. For me, this is an important step towards developing my pedagogical knowledge and continuing to grow in a profession that feels meaningful and fulfilling.

I value the Montessori approach and the respectful way of communicating with children that I experience at AMA School. I appreciate environments in which children are treated with trust and respect, where their independence is encouraged and where adults take the time to observe and support them rather than simply doing things for them.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, cycling, swimming, baking and cooking, walking my dog Peggy, listening to music, painting, driving and discovering new things. I appreciate good food, peace and quiet, order and the arrival of spring. I value honesty and sincerity and believe that a respectful and caring environment is essential when working with children.

My favourite quote is: “Children are so small, and yet they are such great miracles.”
