Martin Borek

About Me.

My name is Martin Borek and I am Deputy Head, class teacher in the first three-year cycle, prevention specialist and special educational needs coordinator. Working with children and young people has been an important part of my life for many years. My first experience began through children's parliaments, I progressed through all levels (up to national level) and was Chairman of the Most Youth Parliament. I organised public events for children, school events, discussions with guests, prevention programmes, etc. I consider the large-scale event “Bullying Can Surprise You Too!” to raise awareness of bullying and cyberbullying to be my greatest success. Through the youth parliaments, I met some very interesting people who were involved in our events. We organised, for example, a discussion with candidates in the Czech Presidential election. I then became the coordinator of the Most Youth Parliament.

Since 2011, I have been a certified LECTURER for the “Don’t Let Yourself Be Swept Under the Rug!” project. I have completed numerous training courses, seminars and discussions with experts on the topics of bullying, cyberbullying and the Convention on the Rights of the Child. I have run workshops in primary and secondary schools, where we addressed these problematic issues with the pupils. I have implemented parts of adaptation courses for various secondary schools from a prevention perspective.

Since 2013, my experience includes many leisure activities – the Centre for Leisure Activities in Most, organising events for children, interest groups, day and residential camps and many more.

Since 2014, I have been part of a wonderful camp for children. The Krušnohor Summer Children's Camp is a real passion for me. We create a fantastic programme that children really enjoy. As I am involved in the management of this camp, I dedicate the whole year to preparing the camp for 200 children.

After graduating from the Industrial Secondary School in Most, I completed a Master’s degree in SPECIAL EDUCATION at the Faculty of Education of Charles University.

I then decided to take the QUALIFICATION COURSE FOR SCHOOL HEADS – School Leader from the National Institute for Education.

In 2026, I received the award from the Statutory City of Most - HEART OF MOST.

In my work at AMA School, I combine the fields of special education, prevention and people management with many years of practical experience with children and young people. I believe that a safe, respectful and inspiring environment is the foundation on which children can grow, learn and gradually take responsibility for themselves and the community around them.
