Madeline Řápková

About me.

In 2025, I completed my master’s degree in Elementary School Teacher Education at the Faculty of Education. My name is Magdaléna Řápková, but the children at school call me Madeleine or Majda. I also hold a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from Brno. During my bachelor’s studies, I spent many months abroad in the United Kingdom, Canada and the USA. Before joining AMA School, I also completed a six-month internship at a primary school in Leeds, UK.

I joined AMA School in the summer of 2017 as an English-speaking teacher and Montessori teacher in the second three-year cycle of the Elementary  school. After maternity leave, I returned to AMA School as an English-speaking teacher in the Elementary school and Primary classroom, where I continue to work with great enthusiasm. I also serve as a mentor for English language teaching at AMA School, supporting the development and quality of English across our educational programmes.

The Montessori philosophy is one of my great passions and an important part of my professional journey. Over the years, I have completed dozens of specialised Montessori courses and workshops, as well as the Respect and Be Respected course. I am committed to continually developing my knowledge and finding new ways to support children in becoming independent, confident and motivated learners. This year, I am completing a one-year Montessori training programme organised by the Montessori Society in Prague.

Outside school, I love travelling and spending time in nature, whether on my bike or on foot. I enjoy discovering new places and cultures, and I bring this curiosity, openness and enthusiasm into my work with children every day.
