Elementary School – Elementary II
My name is Kamča and my first experience of working with children came through scouting, where I led a group of young girl scouts. I prepared regular meetings and trips for them and helped to organise summer camps. That was where I realised how much I enjoy working with children. I liked not only passing on my own experience, but also getting to know their ideas, their way of thinking and their view of the world. I also felt close to nature and to learning through hands-on experience. I still love nature today and enjoy spending my free time in it, because that is where I rest best and slow down for a while.
Later I graduated in Primary School Teaching from the Technical University of Liberec. During my university studies I became more interested in different approaches to teaching mathematics and in how they work in practice. While writing my thesis I therefore visited several schools and had the chance to look into their classrooms. One of them was AMA School. Its environment and the way it works with children caught my attention and led me to a deeper interest in Montessori education. What I value most is the respect for each child’s individuality and the space the child is given for their own discovery, independence and learning at their own pace. University also brought me many new experiences beyond teaching. It was during my studies that I took up sport more seriously, and movement gradually became a natural part of my life. An active lifestyle is still important to me and I like to spend my free time being active and out in nature. I have practised Pilates for many years and I am also a certified Pilates instructor.
What I enjoy most about working with children is getting to know them, watching their progress and being there when they work something out for themselves. Every child is different, and that is exactly what I love about this work, looking for a way to support each child while leaving them enough room to follow their own path.
